With everyone talking about #isohair at the moment (myself included) I decided to go on an adventure through a decade of photos to remember what my hair has been through.

Come along, we're doing this together.
We begin with this tiny blurry photo from 2009. It's my first ever Facebook picture. I would have been 15/16 in this photo.

Short hair, dyed black, and usually spiked up behind a headband. God, I loved hoop earrings at this time.
We continue into 2010. This photo was taken at my graduation, in November. Still black and spikey in the back, but longer in the front in... whatever this cut was. There's a purple streak on one side that you can *just* see.
Apparently I erased 2011 from my photographic history. This one's from 2012. Yes, I am blonde here. No, I will not be taking questions.

The best thing about moving to VIC is I get a new driver's licence photo; this blonde me decided she wanted to be immortalised on my QLD one.
I reached a point where I decided that blonde was not something I could remove simply via dye. It had to be removed with scissors.

End of 2012, short, dark red/purple. We'll see this impulse again.
In 2013, I was starting to grow my hair again. I think at this point it was mostly due to laziness rather than a genuine interest in having long hair. This is about as close to my natural colour as you've seen so far.

Also, notice that I am not wearing black/grey here? Wild.
In 2014, I was growing my hair in earnest. I was starting to experiment with dyeing the tips of my hair again here too; I used to dye my own hair a bit in early university but rediscovered my love of that hobby properly around this time.
2015, aaand it's black again. I cut this fringe myself and was feeling pretty good about it. It doesn't look that bad, honestly; maybe I could cut my own hair in isolation after all. (I'd need to decide what I want to do with it first though 😅)
I started to get the craving to cut all of my hair off again in 2016. I started with an undercut. I absolutely loved this look! I visited my mum as soon as I left the hairdresser because I wanted to show it off; she took this photo.
End of 2016, and the dye started to get a little more colourful. (Get ready, that's about to get turned up to eleven.)

I also had my hair layered really nicely and was starting to feel less like I was growing my hair out of laziness and more like I had *long hair*.
Here's a selection of my 2017 colour choices. I dyed all of these myself in my bathroom!

Pink/aqua
Galaxy (blue/purple/pink)
Rainbow (literally every colour I owned)
November 2017, I had an awesome colour combination for GCAP and PAX. @blackwoolsays took some awesome photos of me during this trip (including this one).
And then in December 2017, I cut it *all off*.
A few months later, I still hadn't quite figured out what I wanted to do with it. I liked it short, but no matter how I styled it, it didn't quite feel right. This was one attempt.

(Notice the return of the short dark red/purple look.)
End of 2018. It was a bit longer, but still only looked "good" to me on some days. This was a moody haircut that did whatever it wanted, whether I liked it or not.
As it grew, it started to go kind of curly. I dyed it a couple of colours again because of *course* I did. Here we are with pink, blue, pink again, and blue again.
Whoops, there it all goes again. Turns out losing your job, getting a new job, and moving interstate makes you want to cut off all your hair and dye it purple.
Short sides, shaggy front. End of 2019 was a good time for my hair. I really enjoyed this look.
Aaaand here's the overgrown train wreck that it is currently. This photo was taken yesterday, after 76 days of quarantine. 👌 Remind me to update this thread once I get a haircut.
