@TohoSheenKi @jackerpie (regarding my comment on j** concert. This will be a bit long, sorry about that)
ok, i 1st found out about tvxq in 2009 (through their Doushite song) around 3/4 months b4 the split. I never listen nor know abut ANY k/jpop before tvxq.
As any new enthusiastic fan, I began obsessively searched for all their songs/mv/concerts/fanmeet and watched all the music/variety shows they were on. Tho i stan Cm/Yh pretty much from the start, i did at one point, liked ALL of them. I even was on that J*/Yh ship for a while
(OOT: even when i was on the popular J/Yh ship, there was something about C/Yh subtle, often overlooked chemistry that often made me go 'Hm...đŸ€”' and it reflected on my fics at that time too 😆)
Anyway, I really did like all of them because i really really like their songs
Then the split happened.
another OOT: I don't care what anyone said at the time, Cm wasn't sad. He was pissed. I mean, obv he was sad too but more than anything,he was PISSED as hell. And it was clear as a day that he was pissed at the other 3 -
Yh was all sweet and diplomatic and tried to look/act like all was ok and normal in public but Cm simply refused to even look at the other 3 and kept inching towards Yh, esp during those last few shows they still had to do together as a group)
ANYWAY, long story short (kinda)
I DID read about the lawsuit and I DO have my own opinions on which side had more.. credibility. I'm not gonna too deep into that but point is J** began their 1st showcase tour as the new unit shortly after the split. I did think it was weird that they did this so quickly
WHILE the lawsuit still going on, like they were eager to get as many fans onto their side as possible.
I went to the one in Malaysia. Why? Because i liked former TVXQ and these 3 were from TVXQ and they were SUPPOSED to be the main vocals and reasonably good enough dancers.
So regardless whatever problems they were having, these 3 were in a group that earned international acclaim before so surely they are professionals that would make my 1st concert ever an amazing experience.
I didn't get the chance to support TVXQ before so I thought i could
start now. Even though they split up but I could support both groups, starting with this one.
I was so wrong.
You know how Yh and Cm always monitoring all those behind the scenes stuff to ensure the everything would be smooth sailing and the fans would have a good time?
yeah, I am pretty sure that didn't happen with J** then.
Everything was horrible. The venue, the timing, the arrangement of vip tix holders to have so called 'photosession/high touch' with them, THEIR VOICES (seriously, tf??!!) They had so many shows in many countries in very
short amount of time. They were exhausted and just fed up and couldn't be bothered with us fans and they showed it. We paid the very expensive (the most expensive tix ever til this day!) ticket price and the kind of performance we got was absolute rubbish. Whatever they promised
They didn't deliver. Yes, that might be the organizer's fault. But i bet if Yh was there.. there was NO WAY IN HELL he would let the organizer did this to fans. This was something my friends and i who attend the concert really felt. If Yh was there, it won't be this messy
2 years after that, TVXQ duo made their comeback. While i was so so happy and proud of their success in the music charts/shows, i hesitated to go to their fanmeet in Singapore. I love Cm/Yh so much, what if them Live is not as good as them in the screen? I would be devastated
Yes, my J** experience was THAT traumatizing!
But then i thought No, i hv to gv them a chance too like i gv J** a chance. So i went and that was one of the best decision i made ever. IT WAS AMAZING.. OMG..! There's no comparison between this TVXQ fanmeet and prev J** showcase.
It was like comparing diamond and coal. I sounded mean? Whatever, I'm still bitter. The most expensive ticket gv me the worst experience.
Truthfully, at that time i thought these 3 arrogant spoiled brats must be used to hv Yh and even Cm to make sure everything went well
So basically,
I went to J** concert with bright high hope.
Result: Confused + disappointed

I went to TVXQ fanmeet with some reservation, prepared to get disappointed.
Result: Pure amazement + Proud + Super Happy
Ofc, this was just based on my own experience. Other people might have a real good time with J**

Their concert might be really good now.

I don't know nor do I care ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
