If you're planning on watching the Epstein doc series on Netflix here's an important fyi: author James Patterson, who is an executive producer & wrote the 2016 book 'Filthy Rich', is writing another book with Bill Clinton - who was known to be a good friend of Epstein's.
Not only that but in 2019, Patterson said he believed that no one knew about Epstein's interest in minors, including Trump and Clinton. What becomes apparent in this doc series, which goes beyond Patterson's 2016 book, is that everyone around Epstein knew.
The documentary does bring up Clinton, Weinstein, Prince Andrew, Dershowitz (who is interviewed, ugh - who decided having an alleged rapist of a minor was a good idea?), Trump etc - it doesn't dismiss allegations, but the doc doesn't go deep into (all of) them.
Part of that is a research issue, part of it is a legal issue. The doc does go into Prince Andrew more than anyone else for what it's worth.
I also think the doc series is worth watching because it really centers the victims' stories and what they experienced. It is an indictment of power and wealth in this country but doesn't go far enough - because it can't, just now, bc of information available and unavailable.
The indictment of wealth and power - beyond an individual - in the Epstein doc series is the subtext. It should have been, in my opinion, screamed from the top of the series. that's also a matter of production/script-writing.
But having an executive producer of this series be someone who is in a creative/financial relationship with Epstein's most high profile friend... ehh. They used his work as the basis, so the exec prod credit becomes necessary, but ethically...
Lastly, it does end with survivors saying that others - everyone who knew, who abused - need to be held accountable.

“The monsters are still out there, abusing people. Why they haven’t been named and shamed yet is beyond me.” - Virginia Roberts
