Jesse Watters acts as if Trump is being held to a higher standard than everyone else. The opposite is true. If any one of us had tweeted a lie about voting by mail, Twitter would have locked our accounts until we deleted it.

It’s only because Twitter has a pro-conservative bias that he gets away with it. The very least they could do would be to pair that with a fact check, but look at it, the fact check doesn’t even say “hey, this is false” unless you click on it. WEAK.
So sick of this BS where you have Fox News, the right-wing media ecosystem, the president and his entire party hammering away at this same, provably false message.

Why do they do it? Because it works!

I really don’t think a lot of people truly understand how much this matters.
And because Dems are just god-awful when it comes to anything involving messaging or technology, they sit idly by as the bad faith brigade screams “bias!”
There’s zero reason for social media companies to ever actually push back on what right-wingers do because they know there’s zero penalty for it. Republicans will drag Zuckerberg and Dorsey in front of Congress to ask why a specific post of theirs only got 5 likes.
And so rather than pushing back on the right and saying “we’re not playing this game,” the social media companies cave. Every single time. Constantly. Because it’s easier. And they know there’s no penalty for caving because Dems wouldn’t dare use the right’s tactics.
It’s weak. It’s maddening.
