I feel like I need to subtweet several recent happenings and say that if you're a trans woman who does like, literally anything notable, you're going to get harassed by queers and bigots. It's just inevitable and you need to be tough and extremely careful about opsec.

This isn't targeting any specific group of people though, is the thing. "Oh yeah never trust cis/allies/etc." NO. Stop assigning value to categories of people. As much as it sucks, even other trans women - especially other trans women - have internalized a lot of this shit.

Do not trust anyone. Do not act like you have any duty to solidarity with groups of people. Form social ties based on affinity, not on whatever stupid fucking politics has been handed down to you when you started transitioning. Treat everyone else as disposable.

Note that this isn't an excuse to not have a consistent well-formed understanding of cisheteropatriarchy, but there's a fine line between that and identity politics. The former allows you to recognize when people from your own tribe are actually working for the other side.
