The @NRO is arguing that Christian Cooper threatened to poison Amy Cooper’s dog. This is why the video is unfair!

Offering a treat to a dog is not threatening to murder it. It’s something as a dog owner you would prefer NOT happen, but that isn’t a threat to you/your dogs life.

The @NRO literally argues that while Amy Cooper was breaking the law, everyone does it! While offering a dog a treat isn’t what dog owners prefer it’s NOT illegal, but THAT’S the issue? The illegal action of Amy Cooper & ignoring of a reasonable request is NBD. BUT DAT TREAT DOE

Let’s say you really are horrified at the idea of someone offering your dog a treat, which if you had your dog on a leash it wouldn’t be able to get to, but let’s say that pisses you all the way off.

Would you, leash your dog and walk away? Or...

Would you call 911?

Amy Cooper didn’t call 911 because she was afraid for her life. She SPECIFICALLY called 911 to stop Christian Cooper from recording her choking her newly acquired dog. She didn’t call 911 due to the treat. She did it to stop Christians actions which she deemed unacceptable.

Upon attempting to control Christian Cooper with threats of state-sanctioned harm, AMY not only claimed she and her dog were in danger, she threatened Christian with the stated purpose she would actively mislead the state in an effort to control his behavior. She says it to him.

Christian Cooper could’ve cussed Amy out from here to Mexico & yet her deliberate use of the state to control his actions (if you’re in public it’s not illegal to record you) by claiming a bodily threat because he did something she didn’t like is ABHORRENT. The treat means squat.

If Amy Cooper called the cops and said “there’s a guy trying to give my dog a treat” do you think they would’ve shown up? OF COURSE NOT, But saying an African American Male is threatening her and her dog in the shrillest whitest voice possible will do the trick and she KNEW that

You can argue the initial points of contention were petty. But neither were Police worthy. I can’t imagine calling the cops because someone said they were gonna give my dog a treat. Even if I thought it was poison. I’d fucking leave. Cuss dude out and leave.

But again, THATS NOT WHAT SHE CALLED THE COPS FOR. The video doesn’t start with her responding to the treats. She’s yelling about being recorded in a public park while she breaks the law and roughs up her dog. THAT is why 911 was called. To pretend otherwise is disingenuous.

And it’s funny. Black folks are scolded for breaking the law constantly. No matter how stupid the law. If there’s even a question, “MAYBE YOU SHOULD FOLLOW THE RULES NEGRO.”
