♡ an appreciation thread for hinata hyuga, my favorite girl;
hinata being so shy, nervous and hesitant always spoke to me, as a person with social anxiety, and i think her timidity is pretty understandable when we analyze her backstory.

despite all that, she was always kind towards everyone. she didn't even get mad at neji and they quickly reconciled after he tried to kill her, because she understood his pain and anger.
her relationship with neji is one of my favorite things. they loved each other, hinata always saw him like a brother and a icon no matter what, and they fought together to prove the views of the hyuga clan were wrong.
she also never thought less of naruto. she actually looked up to him, especially since she saved her and proved her she could be what she wanted regardless of what other people think. and even though she was extremely shy, she constantly went out of her comfort zone to help him.
she grew up being told by her own father that she had no worth, that she was a failure. hiashi ended up poisoning her relationship with hanabi and neji too (for a while). she kept trying and working hard, and even when she didn't succeed, she persevered.
hinata lost against pain, but i believe this isn't the point. pain killed a legendary sennin. she had no chance of winning. but when you love someone, you'll try and that's what she did. people can think it's stupid, but would you just watch while the person you love is killed?
yes, naruto asked for no one to interfere. but pain was going to extract the nine tails and he would die. he literally couldn't move. so she saved him even if she lost the fight. "those who break the rules are scum, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum."
hinata and ino did a combination of their jutsus during the war that misdirected the bijuu bomb from the shinobi alliance and saved everyone.
the manga didn't focus on team 8 that much, but they had a good teamwork and they supported each other. i like how hinata was the only one to listen to kiba when he was going on about being the hokage and how she would always acknowledge shino. team weirdos for the win 
her friendship with sakura is also precious. i love the fact these two always liked and supported each other. seeing their interactions in the last was one of my favorite things. sakuhina rights!
