#BurgerKingisOverParty is nothing less than a joke that somehow became trending on Twitter. We know that they won’t be “cancelled,” this was all just a silly little joke and kept us entertained. People are now turning it into something it’s not.
Saying stuff like how we all took a small joke too seriously and that there are more pressing issues at hand. We know it’s not a big deal and no one has said that it is. This is something to take our mind off of bad things going on in the world.
What happened to George Lloyd was absolutely inhumane and disgusting, but this is a complete separate topic. This started as something that we weren’t all serious about but now locals are making it too big of a deal.
I have spoken already about #BlackLivesMatter and #GeorgeLloyd and so have many other Swifties. I’m still feeling very upset by the news, but it’s easier to have something to take our minds off of something after a stressful situation.
That being said, please educate yourself about the topic of Black Lives Matter and sign petitions or donate to different charities that support the fight to end racism not only in America, but the world.
