If you care about Bernie's platform, it is important to vote for Bernie delegates due to what happened in 2016 — Then-campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, made a deal + demanded Bernie delegates vote for HRC in the 2nd round, which resulted in a walkout strike. https://observer.com/2017/04/shattered-bernie-sanders-supporters-convention-protests/
This time around the establishment who infiltrated Bernie's campaign has selected some grifters, careerists, and VBNMW types to run as delegates so it will be easier to give Joe Biden votes in the 2nd round (even without any concessions/changes to the Democratic Party platform).
Even if you've lost your hope, request your ballot anyways — Don't make this easy for the establishment. Raise a little hell.

Update: This thread is specific to California and the delegate process varies state-by-state. It appears California is the only state that allows voters to request a ballot.
