I’m fully aware that MLK and Malcolm were basically the same person. Martin’s radical ways were evident in undergrad and in his later years. However, MLK was the face of a mainstream, passive resistance movement and a strict game of respectability politics. https://twitter.com/__pettyshabazz/status/1265681274011824132
Malcom was a proponent of “fuck them folks, we retaliate.” They met the same [redacted] fate, which is unfortunate. The point I was trying to make in the OP is that civility and being nice to the police state is out the window. Our family in Minneapolis is jeopardizing
their health in the midst of a pandemic to protest the humanity and wrongful MURDER of our brother. There’s no more talking nice to people because those wrong ass people are protected by systems of even more wrong ass, evil people. We ask that we as Black people get the same
passive, benefit of the doubt treatment as those would knowingly broke the law to protest the fact that they want to execute their privilege publicly pre-quarantine. Like those who commit heinous crimes and get red carpet treatment en route to jail.
