For 4 years @haverfordedu I worked partime for Annual Giving. Every Fall in Founders Hall we called Alums to ask them 2 pledge to fund programs. 4 weeks ago When I made calls fundraising for #covid19 hospitals in #sierraleone that experience gave me confidence 2 just do it
Three things I learned about fundraising then that’s helping me now:
1. Don’t be afraid to ask for something that is meaningful to you. 2. A NO to your fundraiser is not a personal rejection
3. And when you finally get a pledge ask them to double or increase by half! It works!
