there is no proper way for me, a white person, to put this into words, but i cannot stop thinking about what has been happening. i grew up in a white christian conservative household, with judgemental parents who always made jokes about how others looked, acted, talked, (1/5)
their race, etc, and when i was younger i believed everything they said, i never thought for myself. as ive gotten older and seen how this country, how this world is, i know now that things are not okay and we need to be able to say things about it. i will never know what (2/5)
it is like to see people of my race getting murdered, by people who are supposed to protect us, just because of their race. there is absolutely no way for me to understand the struggles of people who have grown up being scared for their lives of the police, of racists, (3/5)
of people who shouldnt even be called human. my heart goes out to all poc victims of police brutality and those who have to deal with the horrors of this as a reality. i will never understand what it is like to live this reality, but i will continue to educate myself (4/5)
and stand by people who need their voices to be heard. i am putting this here because i need to remember this frustration i have trying to understand why things like this happen. this is not okay. (5/5) #BlackLivesMatter #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd
