The Delhi Golf club runs on a Land leased by Central government since Land in Delhi is a Central subject. In 2012, the club wanted to upgrade it’s facilities. It tried to get loan from the bank but bak refused since the lease was ending in 2020.

This was against the own rules of the club. But the club relented. It was a big deal since the club once rejected Union minister Lalu Prasad’s membership.
