The state would only say that the certification was revoked because the jail was not compliant with a rule to check on certain inmates every 30 minutes.

The investigation was sparked by an inmate death.
The state official declined to provide details on that death but we know an inmate died by suicide on April 26. We know next to nothing about the person who died.

I found out through a source on the 27th and got a news release after I inquired.
The same thing happened with the inmate who died of COVID-19. We got an official release after I asked about it because someone spotted the death on the state’s website.
I don’t know if the TCSO already planned to release the info about the deaths and I just intercepted early — but their certification was revoked on the 21st and they were recertified today and nothing has been released about it.
After every in custody death, the state opens an investigation. They are also investigating an incident that happened on May 18. There are rumors on social media about what happened that day. I asked TCSO & the spokesperson said she’s working to get me info.
