Why Klopp’s revolution at Liverpool Football Club is even more impressive than it seems and why the recent news that Liverpool will not make any summer signings should come as no surprise. #FSGOut

When Klopp signed for Liverpool, the club was in disarray with no direction. He came in and assured fans he would bring success back to the club but he needed time.
However with the squad he had, he also needed money and brilliant player development.

Over the course of his 5 year reign, he’s significantly developed players like Gomez, Firmino, Origi, Milner, Henderson, Lovren, Lallana, Coutinho, and more.
He even trained some of them to play brand new positions. These are players that many thought should leave the club.

The team he inherited was nowhere near Top 4 quality. You can see his first XI + subs below.
So the signings he made would be crucial, however there was one major problem; the owners were extremely reluctant to ever give managers sufficient funds.

The owners have insisted that Klopp should adhere to a sell-to-buy policy and with the help of Michael Edwards, he was able to make great profit on players he developed.
Since his arrival, he’s recorded negative net spend every season except 2018/19. Overall net spend of £75.4m

As a result of this policy, Klopp has had to make sacrifices in the transfer market; selling players like Coutinho that he never wanted to sell. As well as having to settle for his 2nd or 3rd choice targets because the first was “too expensive”.
If you consider that Liverpool have been recording record profits and increased revenues from European success and increased TV money, it’s absurd that Klopp is not given more transfer funds.
However, Klopp has never complained about this and still made unbelievable signings.

Klopp is also further restricted in the transfer market by the club’s wage structure. This prevents them from signing players on high wages like Mbappe, Neymar, etc.
Once again, Klopp has managed this, and kept the entire squad happy even if some should be on higher wages.

The key point I’m trying to make is that the owners have leached off Klopp’s success for their own financial gain and Klopp will eventually become fed up with their stubbornness.
The recent news that Liverpool will once again make no summer signings is no surprise.

The owners will use coronavirus as an excuse not to make signings despite record profits and increased revenues from an inevitable Premier League title and likely player sales.
They consistently find excuses and don’t understand the importance of squad depth;

A key reason why we’ve often stumbled at the final hurdle in cup finals and title challenges. Injuries late in the season have hurt us and we haven’t had the backup to effectively solve these problems.

Klopp has worked wonders. He took over a club with no direction. Invested smarter than any manager, developed players to heights they would’ve never otherwise achieved and not only created a relentless winning machine but has restored immense positivity surrounding the club.
Overall, FSG are not fit to own this club. They lack the footballing knowledge necessary and are deeply reliant on Klopp working wonders with extremely limited resources.
Just an indication of the incredible manager he is and why for me, he’s the best in the world.

End of Thread. #FSGOUT. Respect what Klopp has done. No other manager could do it.
