Guys, guys! Do you want to hear my life story as in "how I acquired my idiosyncratic music taste"? Ready or not, here I come! 👶🏻📻 #lizardfacts
Fetus Gem was really excited about their first cassette player, still pretty skilled with operating the vinyl record player. Of course I started with songs for children, but some real pop and rock anthems of the '80s also reached my ears. Like Scorpions, Queen, Michael Jackson.
Age 7-11. I started listening to adult artists, polish pop with some really depressive pieces. I was also super into Disney soundtracks. Hans Zimmer ftw!
Age 11-16. It was a very intense period when I discovered western pop and folk rock. I became a complete delulu and all I wanted was a relationship with my idol. I collected posters and made scrapbooks about my idols. My favorite bands were Kelly Family, Hanson and Spice Girls.
Age 16-18. It was a strange period when I listened mostly to Rammstein and sung in a Gospel choir. I even uploaded our concert to SoundCloud! https://m.soundcloud.com/missnerd
Age 18-24. I became a metalhead 🤘🏼 I wore band T-shirts and leather jackets. I went to concerts, drunk bear and cheap wine and was under strong peer pressure from other metalheads. My favorite bands were Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian and Helloween. I still love them very much 🤘🏼
Age 24-present. I recorded some voices for a black ambient album. I was still a power metal bimbo but slowly started embracing my guilty pleasures like folk, pop, euro dance, musicals, hip hop 😊 To this day and beyond I keep discovering new bands and genres 🤗
2 or 3 years ago I discovered K-pop, sweet and loud. I started with girl groups (AoA, Red Velvet, Blackpink), but then processed to boy groups (TVXQ, EXO and the boys' solo projects). I accepted that a half of my heart belongs to metal, and half to pop. 😍 </end of thread> Pyong!
