I tried to shield myself as much as I could to not going crazy with all these news about racial profiling homicides both here in brazil and in US. I still feel some resistance among white people to understand what is like to be a non white racialized person in places

like US and Brazil. I am gonna give you an update about what is going on here with the police force. Usually, the military police makes random searches inside de favelas where basically poor black/brown people live in. I know you all are familiarized with

"Shoot first, ask later". A week ago, in one favela here in Rio de Janeiro, the police entered shooting killing 2 black kids. This happens constinously in all favelas. A week ago, loggers entered indigenous land and killed 1 indigenous man.

I wish white people had more conciousness over racism. It is real. It is not something inside our heads.
