abt to do a thread abt body stuff etc bc i finally bought a scale and even tho im physically smaller on this fitness journey ive GAINED 8LBS ... so imma do a thread abt why that is not only OKAY, but makes a ton of sense for my goal to lose body fat & build muscle & look more fit

my goal was never to lose GENERAL WEIGHT, but tone up and look more fit. ive gained 8lbs in the past 2 mos and im proud of myself bc that means even tho ive clearly gotten smaller & lost body fat, i've gained OVER 8LBS OF MUSCLE IN 2 MONTHS!!! ur fav bro could never lmao 3/?
idk exactly how much muscle ive gained, but i can see a lil cream of ab poking, shapes i havent seen in my arms & shoulders since college lmao... AND THASSS IS SITTING YALL... that's what that 8lbs is. so yeah, gainz are gonna be a part of my fitness journey. love that for me 4/?
my clothes either are too big or fit smooth af in places where my curves were a lil bumpier a few months ago... this is also why i dont call this a weight loss journey but a fitness journey. im straight up doing body recomposition into some ((vintage wonder woman x jessica rabbit)) shit - not tryna be lighter. see yall on the other side!

the other thing is that as I lose more body fat and my muscle gains (at-home inevitably) slow down, the number on the scale may go back down or level out... which is why i dont go by the number lmao. look, how/if my clothes fit, how my body feels - that's what's important to me
if this thread has proven anything, it's that im a capricorn sun - double pisces moon & rising... plan plan plan research research research then trust the process and go w the flow...
