. @Nadine_Writes has shown we need more black journalists in the Lobby.

There are so, so many talented black journos in the industry - so there is absolutely no reason that day after day it's white journalists that get to run the Lobby, regularly failing to raise BAME issues.
I go on about this regularly, and today has riled me up again.

The only black women journalists I've seen at these press conferences (that have been happening since March) is Nadine and @The_Crox.

Over three months of press conferences and only two black women. Shameful.
When I went to the Lobby for work experience, everyone was white.

When the journalists had the chance to ask questions to Corbyn's press team, they focused on a tweet Diane Abbott deleted about John Bercow instead of the looming deportation flight to Jamaica.
The lack of representation in news reporting and the Lobby is indefensible in 2020.

BAME people are regularly used to write opinion pieces about their experiences, but rarely get the chance to become news reporters or get into the Lobby.

This isn't good enough.
