I have often wondered why the Lord saves our tears. Is it because He is so aware of our suffering and so attentive to our struggles that his heart of justice and mercy are stirred? If that is true, and I believe it is, we need as a nation, as a world, to confess our sins before
the Lord, lock arms in a commitment of solidarity and ask God to grow our hearts.

We need to guard our minds against wishing, defending, or participating in the harm of another human. This breaks God’s law of love and our cruel judgment against others will circle back on us.
Sin always comes back to the camp it was sent from. We need to cultivate caring relationships with all who share our space. We will stand accountable.

The shortest verse in the Bible is “Jesus wept.” I cannot imagine the tears in heaven over our treatment of each other.
We must break God’s heart. May God forgive our disregard, disrespect, disingenuous behavior, and our hate-filled attacks on each other.

Confession and Forgiveness are the first steps toward changed hearts. Then we must learn how to reach out and walk-in Christ’s love.
