11 ys ago, my son & 3 life time friends got loud on basketball court

#karen called police stating
"there is a race riot"

as they left the court, police stopped them
occupants: 2 whites, 1 asian, 1 black
6 police cars

my son was told to exit the car & at gun point, they made him lay face down on road

no one else - just him!

my black son came home unharmed
for that i am grateful
it could have ended up different

he doesn't speak of it much
i know he was scared & shaken

i can't speak for the families who will never see their black men again - but, i can speak as a mother of endangered brown & black sons
