that is why, for a moment, I wish people would take the time to imagine what it would be like if none of that were true, if your normal routine was constantly interrupted by the looming dread that you could be killed at any minute because you& #39;re black and living in America

I can never understand that fear, and what that experience would be like. trying to tell someone that lives that life how they should feel is just absolutely unthinkable to me
