this weekend i rode my bike through one of the newly pedestrianized streets in Brooklyn and it really highlighted how little we need EVERY street to be for cars. It's a grid city! There are so many streets that go the same direction! What the fuck are they all car streets for?

i also don't understand why any street that is zoned exclusively residential wouldn't have speed humps on it! this is the only city in this dog shit country where you don't need a car, but we still let them control us its so fucking stupid

i saw kid playing badminton in the middle of the road and it fucking ruled. Give me that city, not this stupid ass one with the ghost bikes
