There's something very special about vocal tracks in video games.

Persona has this mastered. It creates some kind of emotional connection to the game I can't describe.

There's a certain feeling I get every time I hear/see this intro.
Nier: Automata also uses vocals/lyrics to great success. Anyone who's played the entire game knows the use of the song "Weight of the World" is simply incredible. One of the best moments I've ever had playing a video game. @yokotaro
Nintendo has also picked up on how impactful vocal tracks can be and included them in many of their top titles this gen. Super Mario Odyssey, Smash Ultimate, Fire Emblem and more all use them. They're even used in the marketing.

Seriously, how can you not love this song?
Indie devs are also starting to add more to their games. @tobyfox's excellent ending song to Deltarune is one of the most unforgettable aspects of the game for me.
So the point of this thread is, vocal tracks and lyrics can create a mysterious emotional connection to the games we play and I hope we continue to see even more in the future.

I should make a video on this🤔
