Seeing as the PM broke the embargo, here's today's news

The Test and Trace scheme launches tomorrow. Anyone who's been in close contact with someone who tests positive will be asked to go into quarantine for 14 days - whether or not they have the virus https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-governments-test-and-trace-programme-to-launch-tomorrow-11995671
A few things which stood out to me:

1. The lack of sanctions - very different to the lockdown

Boris Johnson says "we're relying on people's public spiritedness." Baroness Harding said it "requires all of us to do our civic duty"
2. The balance between calls and digital contacts

Despite the 25,000 new contact tracers, lots of people will never hear from a human - if they test positive they'll get a text or email telling them to go to a web form; at risk people will then receive a text or email
3. The app

Still no date for its arrival and it's now being described as "the cherry on the cake rather than the cake itself"

But this does mean you don't get contacts unknown to the index case. Will that be enough?
4. The need for speed in testing

John Newton said home testing wouldn't be used for T&T because the results didn't come back quickly enough. That (famously) is a big part of government testing

What will happen to that now? Unless the PM just killed it? https://twitter.com/rowlsmanthorpe/status/1265671279358758912
5. The definition of "contact"

Although government guidance still describes it as "2 metres for more than 15 minutes", without the app that's not very practical

Officials suggested it would be limited to close contacts using a "very specific approach"
6. Support for people asked to isolate

As some people will be singled out, this will be very important. Aside from the existing financial schemes, what else will be done to support people? And will people be able to get access to those schemes quickly enough?
This is what the email notifications for the Test and Trace system will look like

On the left, for someone who's had a positive test result

On the right, for someone identified as a contact
