people of color. They have proven that time and time again. It is up to us (white people) to change this. This is on us. I'm sorry if that is tough to hear for you, but people are being killed FOR NOTHING. We have to work to stop it.

The only way to try to change anything is to acknowledge our privilege. No, you didn't kill a black person. But that doesn't mean we aren't still complicit in some ways–even unknowingly. We all need to shut up and listen; have tough conversations with friends; educate ourselves.
