Trump’s genius has always been his connection to people’s basest desires. It’s because he’s so damaged. And knows how to sell them crap they think’ll make ‘em feel better. C’mon, he shits on gold toilets. That says everything you need to know.
And some people think that’s grand!

Some people say he’s not a racist. Maybe he’s not. But only because he’s a hollow man. He has no love, no compassion. He has equal contempt for everyone. He loves only himself. Because he hates himself so much he has to.
BUT he understands that race is still THE issue in America.

And Trump understood, post @BarackObama, that there was an opportunity to win the Presidency - if he could exploit the anger and fear of the white neglected & disenfranchised.
All he had to do was tap into that rage.
If there was a market for crap, he knew how to sell it.

And Trump knew that to win he could tap into that frustration, that humialiation; the rage of millions of Americans who felt forgotten, or even worse, contemptuously dismissed by “elites” and “liberals”. After all, he’d been dismissed as clown by those same folks his whole life.

All Trump had to do was convince them that a septuagenarian billionaire from NYC - who never struggled a day in his life, who screwed porn stars, and owned golf courses - had more in common with them than the other millions of Americans who shared their same struggles.

And he did. From the start. He used fear. He used hate. He used race. He still does. Everyday he stokes the hate. Even with this pandemic. The grossly disproportionate toll on people of color? Works for him. His base believes white people aren’t as susceptible, so let it rage on.

RFK understood that a coalition of ALL working class Americans could be built, because they share the SAME struggles. But folks like McConnell, Barr and the rest of the old white male GOP want no part of it, because they’ll be done forever.
And so they protect Trump.

And another unarmed man is killed because he’s black. And again those three words, “I can’t breathe”.
But it’s not just George Floyd who’s being suffocated by hatred, it’s America! Enough.
We must
DEMAND THE KNEE BE TAKEN OFF ALL OF OUR THROATS.
ENOUGH of Trump.
ENOUGH of racism.
