I live in a state where protestors with assault rifles were able to storm the capitol building, hang a doll resembling my governor from a noose, and block entrances to hospitals in the middle of a pandemic. There was no tear gas or percussion grenade used on these people.
Why? Most of these people were white. They were protesting the governor because they think she has infringed on their constitutional rights.

But when black people and people of color protest after the murder of yet ANOTHER black man, tear gas and percussion grenades abound.
I grieve living in a state, in a country, in a world, where white people can use hate speech and threat of violence to protest not being able to shop or cut their hair, while black people are gassed, assaulted, and killed for demanding the right to BREATHE.
