1) @pier1 in Granger is closing. The national retailer announced last week it will be closing all stores but an exact closing date for our local store was not immediately clear. Liquidation sales have begun and items are currently 30% off.

2) Local women’s boutique Cambria Boutique will close this summer. The store initially opened inside the Emporium Building in downtown South Bend in 2018. The shop will still maintain its online presence and its tentative last storefront day is July 29.

3) @TGIFridays on Ireland Road is closed. A spokesperson with the company said the location was owned by a franchisee so they could not speak as to reasons behind the closure. I’m also getting word the Mishawaka location on Grape Rd is closed now so looking into that today.

4) @jcpenney has reopened inside the UP Mall but customers can only enter through the Grape Rd entrance. @Sephora is also open inside the mall, as well as a new local boutique called Morning Willow.

5) @VictoriasSecret and @bathbodyworks remain closed at UP Mall. Its company owners announced store closures after a decline in sales but it is unclear if local stores will be among them. You can read more in today’s @marketbasketSBT column at the beginning of this thread.
