David’s upward venting to God regarding those who wronged him:

Let death steal over them; let them go down to Sheol alive; for evil is in their dwelling place and in their heart. - Psalm 55:15
Obviously we don’t craft our theology of enemies from this one verse. And keep reading Psalm 55 David lands in a good place. But at this moment David is expressing his anger to God over injustice.
If God welcomes Davids venting, He welcomes ours. The problem is what’s safe with God is not safe with the church. Church leaders...there will be a lot of POC filled with Davidic anger. Is your church a safe place to vent?
I think the reason why David is known as a man after Gods own heart is because he didn’t pray safe, guarded prayers. But entrusted his whole heart to God. When angry he expressed it. In fact, in this verse he is saying, “Send these unjust people to hell.”
