been reflecting on the past few days events, and I have some thoughts:

white women, particularly white feminists need to really sit and examine their inner #AmyCooper. It exists in all of them and it is causing harm to their co-workers & movements
white feminists are often so fixated on the harms of the patriarchy & the power held by ‘old white men’ that they fail to examine their own power over not only women of color, but over men of color as well.

The power to weaponize their white feminity literally kills black men.
I’m also cautious of us celebrating this supposed victory over #amycooper.

Some investment firm can proudly say they stood up to racism by firing someone. But are they examining/reflecting on their own culture & policies that allowed them to cultivate a racist as a leader?
It’s easy to respond to overt acts of racism caught on video, but what are you doing as institutions/companies/non profits and (individual white people) to respond to EVERYDAY racism twitter never sees?

That’s the work y’all not ready for.
and the crazy thing is, before we could even finish processing the #amycooper incident we were hit with the tragic death of #GeorgeFloyd and the photos of protestors being tear gassed.

What a week... and it’s only Wednesday.

I am tired.
