I have some very sad personal news. Our beautiful Enzo died from complications with his bone marrow transplant at GOSH last month. He was aged two and a half.

I feel an overwhelming sense of pride being his mummy. He was SO funny, caring & joyful. Realising he’s not here is hard to get my head around. We are hurting more than words can describe and often lose our breath in disbelief. This comes down to missing him, desperately. 2/
My amazing husband Ant has led on organising fundraising for Infant Leukaemia research at GOSH. Friends and family have all raised money in Just Giving teams, which together has amounted to an incredible total. 3/
I hope this money will help improve outcomes for infants with aggressive leukaemias via less risky frontline treatments options. 4/
I know these are difficult times for people financially, so this won’t be possible so many, but if anyone wanted to donate toward this, the link is here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/anthony-saunt

No amount is too small, but if you are not able to donate money, giving blood and signing up to the bone marrow register are indispensable things you can also do. 6/
Thank you to all clinicians, nurses, physios, play specialists, dietitians, cleaners, catering staff, psych team and funereal directors. Everyone, including friends and family, have been beyond kind and supportive. 7/
There is more I want to say; much more I can’t even begin to process after what we’ve been through together. 8/
Hug everyone you love, tight - like we did with Enzo. He’s currently laughing a lot, and roaring somewhere with his dinosaurs. I wish he could roar here, but we’ll just have to roar louder to make sure he hears us 🦖💕 9/9
This is me last week joining the bone marrow register. The three cheek-swabs took five minutes and were easily posted via a pre-addressed envelope. Enzo’s donor gave his bone marrow but most donations today are taken directly from blood instead 🦖💕 https://www.bbmr.co.uk/joining-the-register/
