Hello everyone.
I will start this thread with four lines from a gazal of mine.

Yahan har koi apna ho raha begana kyun hai. ?
Iss sheher e mohabbat main adawat ka fasana kyun hai?
Kal tak tou sabhi zahid rehty thy na iddhar?
Phr aaj har shakhs yahan hua dewana kyun hai? 1/n
I guess you got a clue what I am about to write in this thread.
Well yes, this thread will cover a lot of issues, I will be discussing all of them according to my understanding and sense of judgment, you have every right to agree or to disagree with what I will say here. 2/n
I will start with the burning issue of hate and trolls.
First of all let me make it clear, i too am a guilty of this. And I apologize for that unconditionally. But I assure you, you won't see me engaging in anything like that in future. 3/n
Of late we all are seeing a rise is hate speechs, Character assassination, slender and trolls directed at different individuals and groups and then they come back with a heap of all this against other party. What pains me is not the fact that people are engaging in all this, 4/n
but a few respected faces here are encouraging all this. A person is having opinion on all sort of issues from East to West, from racism to feminism, but when it comes to calling out their friends for the insensitive behavior, they just hide in the rabbit hole. 5/n
A few persons here made a joke on rape and disability , they were called out by one and all on the joke about disability, but a free hesitated to call out them for the joke on rape.
Let me tell you one thing, rape is not something to joke about. 6/n
It's very insensitive of one to even think of making joke on such a heinous act. We all should come clear on this thing, we all need to make a distance from such people, so that they learn their lessons. We we don't do that, it will encourage them, it will encourage rape. 7/n
What legacy we are leaving for our up coming generation, what effect this thing is going to have on the tender souls? The worst part is, a few prominent female faces here are silent on this, or are taking sides of the person concerned.
As I already said in a tweet. 8/n
"Criminal silence of some girls will make life of some other girls hell."
Why I am focusing this on girls, because in majority of the cases of abuse and rape we have seen the girls are at the receiving end. And this thing needs to stop now and here. 9/n
An eg, there was a girl who was in love with a boy, so one fine day, they got physical. And after a few days they broke up,because of obvious reasons. When a friend of mine told a czn sister of the same boy about him dumping the girl after using, she said he is a boy. 10/n
Then there is another person who preachs morals to everyone but he himself is using the derogatory language and is directing hate against a particular group of persons. But when he is being called out, denies. But denial is not a option when you have did something, apology is.11/n
Denying a fact is not a wise thing to do, instead one should accept and apologize for the wrong doing. Because it takes a lot of courage to accept the mistake a apologize, but one should always prefer apology over denial in such scenarios. 12/n
By the time I am tweeting this, the same person has accepted his behavior and apologized. And that's a good sign.
I hope he won't repeat it again. 13/n
And then there is another person who's only job is to dig the past tweets of others and compare that with their present stand and call them hypocrite. A worst part is people are actually supporting that person, which is really very unfortunate. With time people grow & change 14/n
And we need to accept this fact things change with time. I will give my own example here.
A few years back I used to be a pro Indian, because back then my immature mind accepted India as my own country. But with time I faced new realities,I came across the history of Kashmir 15/n
My mind changed to a completely opposite state. Now no one can call me pro Indian, even if anyone calls me so, I don't care. Because deep down with conviction I am anti Indian, anti occupation, and I am satisfied with what I believe now. 16/n
Now let's talk about bullying and labeling.
We have come across many posts and stuff, dealing with Villagers and Citizens. Many people targeting others only on the basis of their place of residence. And saying that you have not contributed much to the struggle. 17/n
But we have seen from Maqbool Bhat to Junaid Sehrai, from Gelani Sahab to Mirwaiz Umar, every village and town has contributed and is contributing. We need to accept this fact we cannot move an inch without taking our villages with us, or city for that matter. 18/n
We have seen Kashmiri speakers targeting the non kashmiri speakers, and questioning their loyalty. But let's not generalize them, for we have seen kashmiri speaking collaborators and non-kashmiri speaking collaborators too. There are collaborators from city and villages too.19/n
There is an other issue which I want to discuss with you, rather on which I want to put my veiws.
Calling names to the people who have recently joined twitter. Many people are calling them Instagram migrants some are labeling them as Facebook refugees and what not. 20/n
And people are actually blaming them for all the toxic atmosphere here. But let me tell you one thing, all the above mentioned three are here from a long time now, they are not "insta migrants". Instead of helping the newbies, we are targeting them, as if we own this place. 21/n
Even if we be owning this place, we still need to welcome them here, for they are our own people. We need a heavy presence of Kashmiris here to refute and decimate and negative propaganda against us. 22/n
Remember every single tweet counts, every voice matters, world is keeping an eye on us, from our google searches to Twitter trends, everything gets recorded. So we need to welcome them all here with open heart.23/n
Another issue on which I would like to make a short comment is, 'Mensuration/Periods'.
Many boys were seen slut shaming girls for talking about periods, unfortunately a few girls were backing the boys. Let me tell you this is not something to be ashamed of. 24/n
When God has discussed mensuration at length in the Holy Quran, why are we making it a taboo. We need to normalise talks about this, it can help us in achieving a better hygienic atmosphere for the half of our population. 25/n
Now you must be thinking why I discussed all this here. Because we can't let our society to be further fragmented, we simply can't afford that. Because our enemy is using all these little cracks to widen the gaps. We are at a stage now, from where we have only one option 26/n
To get united and move ahead, we are at a point of no return. But if at this juncture of our struggle we will fight among ourselves, instead of fighting the enemy together, we will perish. 27/n
We need to set aside our personal differences for a larger cause, for our oppressor doesn't differentiate when he kills us, outrages our modesty. When they can see us as one, then why should not we be one. ..? 28/n
We cannot afford to lose the strings of our social fabric, we have to mend it from where it has been torn. We have to pick all the threads from where they have been left. 29/n
And please be kind, in your actions and with your words to. You never know how and when a word of kindness from you can change someone's life forever. 30/n
Thank you so much for reading it till here. Another few lines from my pen to end this thread here.

Ab bhi kyoun hai iss raat py bybasi chaee hui .
