I just hope my fellow white women will somehow learn that if we try to assert our screechy privilege and weaponize our tears against black and brown people- that the consequences that have rained down on Amy Cooper will rain down on us.
At the moment I’m losing hope that we will refrain from evil for morality’s sake - and that seeing such swift and decisive consequences will at least teach us it is not in our self-interest to attempt to dominate and intimidate others.
At this point I’m skeptical of the work of trying to “reach” people’s better angels.

Consequences and behavioral modification.
Learn that dehumanizing others will result in your own life being destroyed.

Feel the danger of that.
Take that in.
The lesson of this Amy Cooper-created incident is simple:

Your whiteness is not all powerful and if you use it to destroy others you can be destroyed.

Don’t Be Amy Cooper.
Allow the inflation of whiteness in you to be humbled.

Then you can be a human being. Then you can be free.
