Maharaja Ranjit Singh had gold plated Kashi Vishwanath temple of Shiva in Varanasi in 1835 & offered the kohinoor diamond to Jagannath Puri temple of Orrisa [refused by the temple & fell in hands of British later, now in Crown of their Queen].

A young boy killed a tiger in front of him & Maharaja Ranjit Singh said something in terms of "wah Nal-wa" seeing qualities of Raja Nal of Mahabharat, this boy became Hari Singh Nalwa from Hari Singh Uppal.
Confirmed by Dr Vanit Nalwa, a living descendant of Hari Singh Nalwa.

In Abhramhics, Islam recognises Jesus & Mother Mary same way in Sikhi the Dharmic dieties are revered despite being different religion cause of ancestoral & cultural ties.

Some say India is a colonial construct but the idea of India [Bharat] was envisioned in Vishnu Purana before birth of Abrahamic civilizations itself forget British India Empire.
