Cautionary tale – Might be a true story, probably not.

In 1993 John Hammond (could have been Richard, can never remember) created a brand new theme park. It was going to be the theme park to end all other theme parks.
He was warned by Goldberg (I think it was him but might have been the fly guy) that they were too preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should.
Turns out they probably shouldn’t have. The attractions, being dinosaurs 🦖🦕, escaped and pandemonium ensued.

But why is North Tyneside Council reminding you of a 27 year old story?
Well… We are all adults and can make our own decisions on what you can do, based on the most up to date guidance. All we are asking is that you stop to think if you should.
Like: Yes, you can go to the beach/park – but stop and think! During a pandemic, should you go somewhere that a lot of other people might be going?
Or: Yes, nobody can really stop you going in the water – Please stop and think... Should you do that when there are no lifeguards on duty?

The answer to this one is definitely a NO. @tynemouthRNLI will back that one up.
More: Yes, you can spend unlimited time outdoors – but should you do that when there are no public toilets open and many other facilities are closed?
Even more: Yes, car parks are open to help stop congestion in residential areas – Again... in the middle of a pandemic, should you really be heading out in the car, to the same place a lot of other people might be going?
So… Take heed... 🦖 Don’t create dinosaurs 🦕

⚠️ And just because you CAN do something, doesn’t mean you SHOULD ⚠️
One last thing: Nothing to do with dinosaurs or a pandemic – Please, don’t drop litter. Use the bins. If they are full, find the next closest one with space, or take it home.
