like a whole bunch of randos are coming in and liking the tweets (mostly the first/last), but I don't care about those randos tbh
if they want to add something worthwhile, though, that's worth pinging me for. but I can't do that; I can only never get pinged by that thread

but at the same time I don't want to turn off like/RT pings, bc those notifs are an incredibly handy way of learning someone's twitter-behavior patterns
Idea: Likes & Retweets are Twitter's equivalent of nonverbal communication/body language
