I am tired of academic writers who don& #39;t care about their readers.
I am tired of academic writers who assume that something that seems obvious and clear to them is also obvious and clear to anyone else, and requires no explanation in the text.
I am tired of academic writers who don& #39;t understand that it sometimes helps to encounter A before B.

It& #39;s not enough to say that A is somewhere in the paper, so doesn& #39;t need to be introduced early. We read text in time. Don& #39;t make it a mosaic.
Am I tired of jargon? Sure. But I& #39;m also tired of obscurantism that doesn& #39;t rely on jargon. I& #39;m also really tired of the passive voice.
I am tired of academic writers thinking their seniority, prestige, or age makes their writing flawless.
By the way, "readers" in this sense need not be a general audience. There& #39;s a generosity in writing so members of your specific field understand you. Even co-specialists don& #39;t share all the same knowledge and references.
