Normally, I don't even entertain this BS. But I wanted to know more, so I replied:

What did you have in mind? Have you had this kind of arrangement with other tech journos in the past?

Just wondering how this works in practice.

He responds:I pitch the freelancer and if it fits their beat+they think it works then I pay a one-off figure into their personal account upon publication.

You can imagine the severe stress and pressure I come under from clients, so it just helps speed up the process.

"It’s just between me and the journo. Usually around £200 per piece."

WTH! Who is actually accepting this kind of BS? Would love to know. #journalism #freelancing
