LET'S TALK ABOUT AVATAR: THE LAST AIRBENDER

This is my favourite show since i was a kid. I always wanted to be an earthbender cause it looks satisfying?? well if you like ATLA, i really hope you like the thread

Before we dig in, this is my first time analysing TV show characters (well i do it all the time, it is just my first time to actually write it down). Analysing character is complicated, because humans are. So here's how I see ATLA's characters using astrology perspective.

The thread will be long, i guess. I'm sorry, okay?? I'll try to make it simple but once again it won't be easy to simplify it HAHAHA so, enjoy!

KATARA

First, we have KATARA. The most important and crucial thing I see in her role is, She narated the intro "long ago, the 4 nations..." so we see the story through her perspective. What i see here is, she wanted to tell us the great story of The Avatar, something memorable for her.

Something that she has an emotional connection with. A journey that became a story for her, that she puts on words or in other way, arts. She's a Pisces sun.

Another thing that makes her a Pisces Sun really shows in how she believed in Aang when she just found Aang in a giant air ball(?) in the middle of the southern sea, She knew that her dreams and hopes were not falling down.

Also because she constantly feel lost and weird (because she was the last waterbender in the southern sea). She was uncontrollable, her bendings were. She needed some help from someone who knows better about the real world.

Also, she kinda trust Zuko for a couple minutes when they were locked up in the crystal underground prison thingy.

She became the painted lady to save a village and yes, that is exactly what a Pisces Sun would do. Pisces is connected with Virgo in Service axis.

SHE LITERALLY PRETEND TO BE A SPIRIT TO SAVE PEOPLE?!?!?! Katara, you rock.

She has Aries rising, well maybe you disagree with me but even tho you're from a water tribe doesn't mean you're all watery, right?

The whole story of a chart depends on rising. Having an Aries rising (not always, but most of the time) means that someone has Cancer IC (Cancer in 4th house).

Means that she's connected deeply with her roots (4th house is Cancer's domicile). She lost her mom when she was little, and since then she was the one who take care of her family. In her home, she's the mom. Also, she has so much issues about motherhood and being seen as a mom.

Not to forget, she kinda didn't have a father figure growing up. Remember when Toph told Katara that she acts motherly? that's because she felt responsible and the need to protect her beloved friends. The trait shows that she has Moon in Cancer, also 4th house. Moon's fav place.

She need to take a good care of her team. She felt the need to protect them. Because she learned in a hard way how losing a mother figure was like. So she became one.

Another planet that has crucial role in Katara's chart that also in Cancer 4th house is her Mars. Why's Mars important? because her rising is in Aries, and it makes Mars her chart ruler.

Mars is all about aggression, our animal instinct, our drive. Because in her chart Mars is in Cancer. Cancer is not Mars favourite place. Makes it hard fot Katara to control her aggression.

She's driven by emotions, she's angry when she's afraid or betrayed. Most of the time when she need to let out of her aggression, the reason is always because she has a deep emotional connection with it.

Remember when she and Zuko went to find the guy who killed her mom? She had all the aggression to attack the person who hurt her emotional part. She didn't do it because she knew it was not something that she need. She just have to let go of her emotions through aggressive way.

Moon is the lord of Katara's chart. It is just as important as Mars. Makes her always put her whole heart to something. And easily get triggered by her emotional part.

She hated Zuko because he betrayed her trust, right when she's about to cure him with moon water. She hated him because she thought Zuko is a threat. A bad man couldn't be good, and she had that mindset fixated in her mind.

Well, back to her rising in Aries. Rising is all about our first response to the world. She easily get triggered. She always need to take action. Remember when Sokka said something about what girls should do and Katara got angry? She literally cut a big iceberg into pieces.

She also always want to take action whenever something happened. Her first response is always "i can handle this" or "i think we should check it out". She wanted to know how the world would respond if she acted this way, or that way.

She touched people heart, a quality of a Pisces Sun. Always do things wholeheartedly and always protect her beloved ones, a quality of Cancer Moon, and has aggressive response, a quality of Aries Rising.
