in this song he takes the perspective of his friend who sold drugs to escape poverty on the streets. he talks about his life and what his friend thinks and goes through. the chorus is great and the ending verse is one of the best on the album.

not much to this song except he talks about a girl he had his eye on but she only fucked with small town guys but he wanted to make it out and had a dream of being a rapper. it’s a hit for the album.

easily one of the best on the album. cole talks about a lot of things but mostly how hard it is to change and how you can only change yourself. he also reenacts his friends funeral and the way he saw about his friend being mudered.

weakest track on the album imo. it’s not bad at all and it had a good concept with a good verse at the end. its mostly about how he wants to help his wife so he puts everything down and well folds clothes. of all the things he folded the clothes.

Best song on the album and one of my personal favorite storytelling songs of all time. his friend asked Cole to tell his story for his daughter since he won’t be alive to do so. so cole does it in the best way possible and tells her about his life in a song..

He tells her about how he didn’t escape the system and how he didn’t want his daughter to come home and for him to be gone. a great ending to a great album. thanks for the support guys hope you guys like the first time i’ve ever did this type of thing
