Okay, I’d like to start a little (or not-so little!) lunchtime debate.

So there are lots of ‘yes’ responses. But what if were to tell you that 85-90% (varies slightly yearly) of Halal meat is stunned prior to slaughter?

There is a widespread assumption and misunderstanding that all Halal is non-stun, when in fact the large majority is.
This is a huge issue. If we were to ban Halal slaughter, we would see British livestock markets collapse instantaneously.
