This piracy issue seems to be the main sticking point in the #NUFCTakeover so I decided to do some research on beoutq, now this may be a long read so just bare with me, and feel it could be as positive as @ADMusgrove but in the @ChronicleNUFC about the WTO documents ...
We all know about the geopolitical issues between Saudi and Qatar! When blockades were put in place, Saudi then took the step to ban beIN being viewed in the kingdom, shortly after beoutq started streaming as a IPTV, eventually going onto Arabsat #NUFCTakeover ...
Al Jazeera which are the news arm of beIN ran a feature/documentary about beoutq and piracy and linked it to a Saudi citizen and his tv station, in the form of Dr Raed Khusheim and selevision, which were both based in the UAE #NUFCTakeover ....
BeIN tried to sue Dr Khusheim for piracy, and lost, having to pay $7m in damages, with no proof linking selevision and beoutq! While@all this was going on beIN still held all sports rights in the MENA region, including Saudi football #NUFCTakeover ...
Because Saudi had banned beIN, and the UAE did for a month, they couldn’t get live streams of their league, so the Asian football confederation (AFC) decided to stream games on their YouTube channel, something which annoyed beIN #NUFCTakeover ...
Something that they lost again! At this point Saudi and Egypt had started plans for a channel to be based out of Cairo called PBS, to stream live sport, that never got off the ground for whatever reason #NUFCTakeover ....
Beoutq continued to stream live sport, but not just using beIN’s feed, also using a Israeli feed with arabic commentary, and a Mexican feed, which I can only assume were accepted as no problems have been raised with them #NUFCTakeover ....
This is when beIN seemed to turn their attention to Arabsat and the french courts, simply because Arabsat was available in french territories! With no link being found and beIN ordered to pay comp by the french courts #NUFCTakeover ...
There has been a link between beoutq and piracy, and the fact it is/was streamed in KSA, however FIFA, UEFA and various leagues have asked the Saudi government to look into it, which from what I can tell they have #NUFCTakeover ...
From what I can tell, neither the Saudi Government or more importantly PIF have even been implicated in any legal proceedings by beIN or otherwise, which seems positive for the #NUFCTakeover ...
This bit is just imo, beIN have never been able to link beoutq to anyone, neither have the courts in various countries, there is no substantial evidence linking it to PIF or MBS, otherwise they would have sued them directly #NUFCTakeover
To me it seems like a Hail Mary from beIN, a sign of desperation to limit their money loss, and rightly so want someone found accountable, however with no legal link to the government or PIF it should not be an issue in regard the #NUFCTakeover hope that make sense 🤙
