I find it amazing how I keep discovering legal false friends between English and Spanish:
Norm is not norma
Jurisprudence is not jurisprudencia
and now Public Law is not Derecho Público. At least not as a class module. The content is more equivalent to my idea of "Intro to Law"

"Derecho Público" in abstract includes all law branches that address the relationship between private parties and public entities. Since much of this is covered by Con Law and Criminal Law, if you tell me there is a "Public Law" module, I immediately think "administrative law"

But when you look at the syllabus, Public Law modules teach you what is separation of powers, what is a bill, what is devolution. This is something I would teach in Intro to Law. I am truly fascinated by these (I guess cultural?) differences in approaching the same ideas
