Someone is saying my tweet has xenophobic undertones in it. I'm not even South African. What I'm simply highlighting is you can't call yourself a man when you're fleeing your own country to live at the mercy of another man. There's nothing normal about flocking to SA
As if our respective countries don't have resources, the entire continent was blessed with either fertile soils & minerals. Yet the whole continent flocks to SA begging, it's ridiculous. All because of lack of guts to confront the mismanagement in our respective countries
I don't condone xenophobia, but I want you to imagine this scenario. Your father adopts a child, you're like ok. He does it again, then again & again. Before you know it, hunger hits, you start receiving less food than what you were used to. Won't you have issues with those kids?
That's the same way South Africans feel about us, you can't really blame them. We can't be demanding from the SA government all kinds of things, yet we're passive with our respective governments. Migrating to SA is just a stop gap measure not a solutions
At some point we have to confront the issues in our respective countries. At some point in time we must develop some balls, have some guts. We owe it to the fallen heroes, the Nyereres, Khamas, Nkurumahs, Lumumbas who fought for a prosperous Africa
Until then we can't really beat our chests & call ourselves men. Men fight for what is right. Men stand up for themselves. Men don't beg other men. Men must be men
