During the last few weeks of the referendum, Vote Leave was running out of cash. So Dominic Cummings and his team circumvented spending rules to put more money into millions of online ads. @michaelgove was informed of this decision as Chair of the Finance Committee. As was Boris.
The campaign was found guilty of this. And to protect the reputation of Cummings, Gove, Johnson, Priti & other cabinet ministers...Vote Leave coordinated a massive disinformation operation alongside Downing Street (Theresa May’s government at the time) & several Tory think tanks.
This coordinated campaign was revealed when I successfully sued a Conservative lobby group called the TaxPayers’ Alliance. They conceded to the claim that they were coordinating with Downing Street officials & other think tanks that appear regularly on our televisions.
The tactics they used last time to protect Johnson, Gove, Cummings are the same. My only reason for repeating this is that if you’re wondering if Cummings has dirt in Johnson & Gove, you’re probably right. I suspect it goes much deeper than Vote Leave’s criminal activity.
The company that Dominic Cummings used to circumvent spending rules was a Cambridge Analytica affiliated firm called AIQ. A digital company based in Canada, but was present in Vote Leave HQ, working closely with cabinet ministers & Cummings’ entire team. AIQ is now banned...
Banned from all operations in Canada and the United Kingdom. Except...they worked on @michaelgove’s leadership campaign. They also helped set up @GiselaStuart’s website. Last year, they were invited into Downing Street for possible work for Her Majesty’s Government.
This is a complicated story, not for any other reason than the failure of journalists to hold our politicians to account for fear of pile ons just like the ones we have seen these last few days: #mediascum. It is vital for there to be greater scrutiny for past actions now.
Or else we will fail to ever hold them accountable. If they are allowed to continue to lie, deceive & get away with it...more people will die than we have already seen. This is not about politics & differing opinions. It’s about cheaters vs. honesty. It’s about the law vs. them.
