A lot of people from outside of the USA don’t understand how trigger happy [white] Americans are when it comes to calling the cops. For ex; when I first moved to the USA, a mom of a girl in my then neighborhood called the cops on me because I didn’t want to be friends with her.

I’m not exaggerating this either. Imagine being me, new to the United States, barely speaking English and I’m in bed to go to sleep when a cop knocks on my door. My poor immigrant parents were terrified. Anyway, she said I threatened her daughter by which I was shocked.

I didn’t want to be friends with her because she was mean to another girl and I said that and then bam in the night the cops are knocking on my immigrant parent’s door telling them they need to speak with me because the girl and her mother felt threatened. The USA is a wild place
