Saw a couple tweets about #SwirlyGang anyone that’s knows me knows that Jesus is my number 1. Im actually saddened by people who don’t know who they are in Christ. It’s what I remind people about all the time... so in saying that
The Gospel will never change. The forgiveness of sin and unity with Jesus (God) is biblical. I do believe that certain truths need be emphasised in order to change thought. For instance, there’s a difference between knowing you’re a new creation and having the “Lightbulb moment”
I’d say the same about Union with the Holy Spirit. I can see #SwirlyGang triggering people in order to encourage different ways of thinking. It reminds me of when I had a phase a couple years back of watching a lot of John Crowder.

‘Healthy’ debate is always good
Calling #SwirlyGang heretics is lazy imo. Everyone that knows me knows that although I’m a music man.. Jesus will always be first for me. As much as I don’t always engage such conversations, they are important as Christians are being influenced.
It looks like #SwirlyGang are encouraging a paradigm shift. Encouraging a new way of thinking, disrupting the status quo of Christian beliefs that people just “accepted”. The fruit of different beliefs is a transformed lifestyle. Knowing you possess fullness is important
I’m interested to see how all this pans out. If more people grow in their sonship then good, if more people recognise they are one with the Holy Spirit then good. If more people recognise their righteousness in Jesus then even better

Let’s see and let’s pray
It’s also been good to see them engage in healthy debates with leaders
