Hmm on one hand.. I think ztd making the decision of having zero be someone outside the group was good bc ze already pulled the "zero is the closest ally; zero is you" so having another twist like that would have been repetitive

Instead having it be "zero is someone close to you, you just don't know it" allows for there to still be a shock in the twist without making zero too far removed from the entire events of the plot ()

That being said I'm stupid and have snail brain and keep remembering hena's off hand ball park "what if junpei was zero " comment before we both started ztd and think THAT would have been crazy and mb ooc but also interesting to explore if ztd was entirely done different

(Alternatively if diana was zero I'd still be sitting there like OH SHIT regardless because LISTEN I'm an incredibly simple person and am ready to yeet an old man antagonist any day)

Back to point 1 though, it also works because the decision game is so brutal that it would HAVE to be someone far removed from the group considering everyone's motivations/intentions

LIKE YA... second and third nonary games were brutal but they weren't necessarily designed to off the participants..

SNG like.... only the ppl who were meant to d*e had bombs in them. If participants followed the rules no one would die, it was designed for everyone to survive. The thing that got everyone was literally ace

In vlr YA everyone's bracelets were legit BUT AGAIN it's designed to ensure everyone survives so long as rules are followed (in the doors at the correct time, no puzzles are meant to harm as showcased by luna and the button pressing)

It's again, human fault, that causes people to end up d*ing via selfishness and betray- ACTUALLY I LIED there's radical-6...... i mean an antidote and means to replicate if were left okay perhaps this point was null

BUT CONTINUING WITH MY ORIGINAL INTENT before contradictions were presented, the decision game is designed specifically so at least 6 ppl end up d*ad.. even when ppl follow the rules, things out of their control work against them

(Mira k*lling junpei off screen, monty hall room designed so at least 2 people kick the bucket, q team's k*ll one decision) I forgot what my original point in this thread was but idk just thinking about the choice to make zero someone else entirely

Though on those terms zero being delta was also :/ because I didn't care for him at all akdks he talks so much but not in the "woah I'm learning" way

Tldr; zero being delta worked because of the brutality of the decision game but also I don't really care for him because he's not as interesting
