1/ Heaven isn't our goal..It is our starting point..

Too many believers do not understand the implications of the New birth. Hence, certain foreign concepts are bandied around. Concepts like, 'being heaven bound', 'making heaven' etc. Heaven isn't the goal of the believer..
2/ It is his origin..his starting point.

The prophecies of the Old testament are Christocentric in orientation. In other words, they speak of Christ and his church. Let's see one of these. Psalms 87:2-6, 'The LORD loves the gates of Zion more than all the other dwellings of
3/ Jacob. Glorious things are said of you, city of God: "I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me— Philistia too, and Tyre, along with Cush— and will say, 'This one was born in Zion.'" Indeed, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one were born in
4/ her, and the Most High himself will establish her." The LORD will write in the register of the peoples: "This one was born in Zion."' (NIV). This one was BORN HERE!!

Let's see the fulfillment of this prophecy. Hebrews 11:22-23, ' But you have come right up into Mount
5/ Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to the gathering of countless happy angels; and to the church, composed of all those registered in heaven; and to God who is Judge of all; and to the spirits of the redeemed in heaven, already made perfect'.
6/ (TLB).

He tells us our present reality! He talks about a present fact, a now truth. He says we have come to the registry of Zion, of heaven. What do we discover there? We discover WE WERE born there! Heaven is the place of our nativity!

Little wonder Paul said this
7/ Philippians 3:20, 'But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven, and from it also we earnestly and patiently await [the coming of] the Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) [as] Savior,' (AMP). We aren't on a journey to heaven.

In the New birth,
8/ our records say THIS MAN WAS BORN HERE! Here in Zion.. Here in Heaven. In the light of our discuss, what does it mean to be born again? John 3:3, 'Jesus answered him, I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, that unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot
9/ ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God.' (AMP). Glory to God!

To be born again is to be born from above. The word used there is a metaphor to describe heaven or God. To born again is to be born of heaven. Glory!! The man who is born from
10/ above has entered the kingdom of God. He isn't on a journey to it, it is his native land. That is where he functions from.

Upon physical demise, as a result of his citizenship, he becomes present with the Lord and absent from the body. We are seated in heaven presently
11/ in Christ- Ephesians 2:6. Where he is is where we are! Heaven isn't what we strive for, it's where we live from! #MoreLight
